This film, is directed by Guy Green and stars Sidney Poitier, Elizabeth Hartman, Shelley Winters, Wallace Ford, and Ivan Dixon. Released in 1965 this film is powerful and sensitive portrayal of complex human relationships tackling the themes of prejudice, abuse, and the search for hope amidst a dark life. Director Guy Green's delicate and thoughtful approach and Jerry Goldsmith's memorable music score make a Patch of Blue a poignant and moving film that resonates to this day.

Film Appreciation Wednesday, January 15 | 2:00 pm Featuring..."A Patch of Blue" Join us for our next movie in our Film Appreciation series. This time we are watching "A Patch of Blue". This film, is directed by Guy Green and stars Sidney Poitier, Elizabeth Hartman, Shelley Winters, Wallace Ford, and Ivan Dixon. Released in 1965 this film is powerful and sensitive portrayal of complex human relationships tackling the themes of prejudice, abuse, and the search for hope amidst a dark life. Director Guy Green's delicate and thoughtful approach and Jerry Goldsmith's memorable music score make a Patch of Blue a poignant and moving film that resonates to this day.
